Child Protection Society (CPS) is not for profit non governmental organization registered as welfare organization in Zimbabwe. Founded in Zimbabwe on the 5th of march in 1952 as a membership based organization.
The Society is a child rights organization. In 2017 the society responded to the Flood emergecy (Tsholotsho, Gokwe North, Masvingo) Assisting unaccompanied and separated children. In 2018 the society made an Emergency Response to Cholera in Harare districts through identification, reunification children with support packages for successful reintegration.
In 2019 The Society
- Developed National Foster Care Handbook in conjunction with the Department of Social Welfare
- Responded to Cyclone IDAI Emergency supporting unaccompanied and Reunified children, providing support packages for children in kinship care, Supported children on the move repatriated from neighboring countries
- Assisted children on second line HIV treatment with food packs and access to treatment and care
- Supported children on the move repatriated from neighboring countries
