The Catch Them Young program me is championing the right of children to play which is in line with UNCRC Article 31 which says ‘’ children have the right to relax and play, and to join in wide range of cultural, artistic and other recreational activities’’ (UN Convention of the rights of a child) and ACRWC Article 12, which is why it is taking an upper hand in constructing play areas for the ECDs, so that they can enjoy their right to play.
CyVAT in partnership with Child protection Society and Rodger Federer Foundation is constructing play areas with the help of the community.
The community is also playing a pivotal role in this programme, as it has to provide locally available material like logs for the construction of the play areas for the ECDs. The organisation through the RFF-CPS grant is to help with paint, fence, termite poison, nails, and ropes.
