Strengthening collaboration and accelerating the transition from institutional care to family-based care systems

Child Protection Society is proud to be part of the Zimbabwean🇿🇼 delegation, led by the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare, at the Regional Conference on Family-Based Care and Placement in Livingstone, Zambia.

Hosted by the Government of Zambia through the Ministry of Community Development and Social Services, Zambia, in collaboration with Care for Children, this important convening brings together Ministers, senior government officials, cooperating partners, and civil society organisations from across the region.
The conference is focused on strengthening collaboration and accelerating the transition from institutional care to family-based care systems, ensuring that every child grows up in a safe, stable, and nurturing family environment.
As Child Protection Society, this conference is a critical platform that strengthens and affirms our ongoing work to promote care systems that prioritise families, protect children’s rights, and support long-term wellbeing. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, learn from regional best practices, and contribute to shaping sustainable care solutions.
We are honoured to represent Zimbabwe in advancing family-based care, exploring sustainable approaches to family placement and support, and aligning national efforts with global and regional commitments on child rights and care reform. #childprotectionsociety #childprotection @followers@topfans Ministry of Primary & Secondary Education, Zimbabwe Ministry of Health and Child Care UNICEF Zimbabwe AmplifyChange
